Frequently Asked Questions

Almost daily, Organisers of London Social Network are asked questions. Over time, we have observed the same questions tend to be asked on a regular basis. As such, we’ve decided to compile these below. Before you contact us or anyone else with questions about our group, please read this page. Anyone who asks me a question that has been answered below will simply be re-directed here.

How can I join London Social Network?

In order to join us, you will need to create a account, if you have not already done so. After this, click on “Request to Join” on the top right corner of our group page. You will be asked to agree to our Group Rules and Legal Disclaimer. You will receive a response within 24 hours, usually in the evening.

When/where/what is your next event?

All our events are listed clearly on our page. You can also try our events page. Please click on the titles for events to see more details on those specific events.

How much does it cost? Where is the venue? What time does it start?

Please read the full description for all events you are interested in attending. The vast majority of the time, your questions have already been answered and it is your responsibility to take the time to learn about events you want to attend. In the circumstances that your question isn’t covered by the event description, please contact the designated event host.

What is the age range of members?

Members are mainly in their mid 20’s to mid 40’s. However we do have many people in their 50’s.

What is the main focus of your group?

It is our goal to plan fun and interesting activities in and around the city that appeal to people who are looking to get out and enjoy life, make friends, learn, explore and connect. We try to keep the attitude level low and the event quality high. If you are new to the city or a native Londoner, single, coupled, looking to make friends, network, interested in learning or trying something new or looking for a connection, we probably have something on the calendar just for you!

Is London Social Network better than other social groups?

We can’t tell you that LSN is better or worse than other groups, it really depends on what you are looking for. We have outlasted dozens of groups since we began in 2006 because of the quality and service we provide. Unlike many groups in London LSN is our full time focus, we are here to provide a quality product at an affordable price and that is all we do. We encourage you to check out all the opportunities and stick with what best suits your needs.

Can I belong to more than one group?

You bet! In fact we encourage it especially since other groups may offer things we don’t. In fact we actually run many “partner” events with other groups so you get to meet even more people. We have some links to other groups on our Partners page.

Is LSN a singles group?

London Social Network events are mainly geared to professionals who want to get out and enjoy life with other fun people. We have singles, couples and groups of friends coming out to our events who all get along great! The focus is on the activities, socialising, networking, fun, learning and adventure. Although we have had many love connections with members over the years, please do not make that the primary reason to come out, It adds too much pressure! Just come out and have fun!

What is the definition of “Professional”?

That could be a debate for all ages! We define “Professional” as someone who is career minded and is currently employed or seeking employment in professions that offer growth and stability both personally and professionally. Again, most of our members fall into the 20’s-40’s age range If you are not sure what “professional” means or whether you fall into that category, you may want to explore other groups.

How much does it cost to join?

It is free to join London Social Network. If you plan to come out often you may consider becoming a Lifetime VIP member for £200

What do I get for being a V.I.P. Member?

If you would like to become an LSN V.I.P. Member you will enjoy

  • Discounted or FREE admission at many events.
  • Free tickets, certificates and offers that our regular members do not have access to.
  • Invitations for members only events.
